Bhopal Crime Branch arrested a woman drug peddler carrying Cannabis weighing 3.23 kg worth Rs 65000 was recovered from the accused.
To control crime and criminals in the city, Police Commissioner Bhopal Harinarayanachari Mishra and Additional Police Commissioner Bhopal Anurag Sharma directed action to arrest the drug peddlers.
Based on information regarding a woman named Rohini who was carrying a blue-coloured bag, in which Cannabis was kept, is sitting on Malipura Jod culvet Vidisha Road, waiting for someone to sell drugs.
After informing the senior officials that the information the team reached the spot and spotted a woman of the description described by the informer was seen sitting on the culvert carrying a blue colored bag, who was taken into custody and was identified as Rohini Vanshkar of Atal Ayyub Nagar, Gautam Nagar, Bhopal.
When she was asked about the blue colored bag, she said that it was her bag and when it was checked white foil, dark brown colored leafy, smelly, moist substance was found which was Cannabis and the suspect, on interrogation, accepted the substance as Cannabis.
The illegal narcotic substance Ganja was found in the possession of the accused Rohini Vanshkar was weighing 3.23 kg whose estimated cost is Rs 65000. A case under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in the police station crime branch and taken up for investigation.
