The students expressed their perceptions about peace making through their creativity over canvas. A painting competition ‘Peace Poster’ was organised here on Friday at Kendriya Vidyalaya 1.

The peace poster making competition was organised jointly by loins Club International and Kendriya Vidyalaya 1. As many as 300 students of age group from 11 to 14 years participated in the competition.

Through this competition some students portrayed peacemaking by painting the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi and others gave this message through figurative and abstract works. One of the students, Kushal Malviya of grade seven, showcased peacemaking through his colourful poster where he wondrously painted all religions as one. Using his creative skills Kushal painted a huge pigeon over which he displayed the symbols of all religions.

Another student Nitin Vahane also displayed the same concept with a different perception. In his poster he showcased a peace loving environment.

Not only this, but also some other students showcased peacemaking between two countries with the title ‘Say No to War and Make Peace’. This was not all, but the students also portrayed Mahatma Gandhi as a peacemaker and other few displayed lord Krishna as the one.

The competition was like an extravagance for the little painters and the spectators as well, as they have used their brilliance of painting blended with the perceptions displayed on the painting sheet. Further the little artists also displayed the uniqueness and beauty of a peaceful world through the variations of colours.

On the occasion, organiser of the competition and representative of lions Club Rajiv informed that the selected poster will be send to Chicago for the international exhibition.

He further informed that the exhibition will showcase the posted by students from across the world and the winner will be awarded with the prize money of US $ 5000.
