The fashion freaks and the budding fashion designers had a great time at the Craft Bazaar as they explored varieties of not only the dress materials but the techniques used in preparing them.

The two day Craft Bazaar organised by National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) concluded here on Friday. The students of NIFT received training from the known artists of the state wherein they were explained about the colour schemes, techniques and combinations over the dress materials.

The catch point of the Craft Bazaar was the magnificient Chanderi and Maheshwari dress materials. live demonstrations of block and dabu prints on these materials were the eye catching feature of the Craft Bazaar.

The artists beautifully displayed their imagination over the cloth as if they are painting a plain canvas. The artisans from across the state were the part of the craft bazaar. They showcased the traditional motifs as well as the modern ones to the NIFT students to understand the beauty of different designs on different colours.

The students were informed about the basic colour combinations. They were told that the dark colours can have darker prints and light colours can have vibrant mix of various other colours and prints. The abstract and figurative art was primarily shown to the students.

Besides, the live demonstrations, few lectures over designing the textile were also delivered by the experts for the students to understand the theory more clearly.

The Craft Bazaar of NIFT was much enjoyed by the fashionistas of the city. Along with the dresses there were show pieces of brass that enchanted the shopaholics at the bazaar.
