CPM takes dig at MPPSC's choice of exam questions

Published on:

The Communist Party of India–Marxist (CPI-M) has questioned the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission’s (MPPSC) integrity on the basis of questions asked in its recently held examination.

CPI(M) central committee member and State secretary Badal Saroj said that the State Government should make it clear what MPPSC wants to do — recruitment of administrative officers or appointment of katha vachak shastris (religious story tellers).Saroj said that by going through the question paper of the MPPSC one gets confused that whether the examination was for diploma of purohitayi (priesthood) or shastri (religious story tellers) or for the appointment of administrative officers. The questions asked in the paper reflect that this year the MPPSC intends to appoint story tellers. The number of questions asked in relation with religious things was very high while there was a question on communists also, he added.

He said that how good was the knowledge of the person who prepared the question paper could be gauged from the fact that racism was written wrong in both English and Hindi languages. The MPPSC, which has already become infamous for scams, seems like also going to earn name for sense bankruptcy, he added.

He said that the aim of preparing such type of question papers could easily be understood that what does the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and its bridle holder Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) wants to do with the administrative framework. The CPI(M) strongly condemns this immature and slutty communalism and considers it adverse to the basic framework of the Indian Constitution, he added. He said the CPI(M) demands from the State Government to stop such deeds that would for sure vitiate the minds of aspiring officers of the State.
