The Communist Party of India – Marxist (CPI-M) reacting over Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s statement over MPPEB scam that ‘I was honest, I am honest and would remain so’ said that actually this is expression of guilt within him.

The left front party has also decided to launch statewide agitation against the biggest educational and recruitment scam of the country on June 30 and July 1. The party is in touch with the likeminded parties and is planning to hold a massive joint protest with them in the state capital. CPI Member Central Committee and state secretary – Badal Saroj in a statement here on Monday said, “If the Chief Minister considers him honest and innocent, then why he is afraid of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe. Now the BJP government is also at the centre so there is no question of its misuse.” Saroj further said that now with the exposure of so many documents the CPI wishes to know that whether Chouhan would continue to say in the same manner that ‘Me, my family members including my wife, brothers and brother in law are all honest.’

He said that by giving such statements the chief minister could not escape from the responsibility of ruining career of hundreds of thousands of children of state through country’s biggest education and recruitment scam. The CPI-M has decided to launch state wide agitation over the issue on June 30 and July 1. The party would hold sit-in demonstrations, rallies and public meetings on these days to press its demands for CBI enquiry of the scam, to bring in chief minister, his family and residence in the preview of investigation of the scam and removal of all concerned officials and leaders from their respective posts for the impartial investigations of the case.
