CPI-Ml believes Ambedkar's caste equality was for economic justice

Communist Party of India – Marxist-leninist (CPI-Ml) has stated that Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar wanted to annihilate caste system to bring an end to the massive exploitation of working people.

CPI- Ml Central Committee member Vijay said,“for Ambedkar, annihilation of caste was a prerequisite to establish a society based on justice and equality. He saw the question of caste not merely for a particular social identity but also economic justice.”

“For example, Ambedkar had proclaimed that all land should be declared national property and distributed among the dalits who actually work on the land. It was a very radical idea and today when land has become the focus of corporate plunder it becomes even more relevant.
