Protesting against soaring prices of pulses, the Communist Party of India - Marxist (CPI-M) will hold a 'Daal pe Charcha' across Madhya Pradesh on October 26, a party official said on Thursday.
CPI-M State Secretary and Central Polit Bureau member Badal Saroj while talking to The Pioneer said, "Tuar daal would be cooked at various roundabouts, squares and main places of cities across the State where hoarding pointing failures of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Governments of the State and Centre would be displaced."
Badal Saroj further said that our leaders would also discuss the promised 'acche din' by the BJP with the people. "Senior leaders of the party would also address the gatherings on the occasion and would expose the patronization provided to the traders community in increasing all round dearness," he added.
He said that the silence of the Government over the increasing rates of commodities including daal exposes that this Government does not have any concern for the people and that it only thinks for the safeguard of traders and business community's interests.
The claims by the State Government last days that daal prices have come down in the state after raids on hoarders and traders strengthen our allegation that the whole thing is going on under Government patronage. Because, when the Govt knew that hoarders are stocking the pulses than why not it acted earlier, why it took late action, he questioned.
The senior Communist leader of the state said that our party workers would also collect questions over promised 'acche din' for the government from the public and would send them to the prime minister through CM.
He alleged that the lust for money is stopping this government to take strict action against the hoarders and black-marketers else it could control the spiraling prices and could price relief to the people.
