Govindpura police nabbed a fraudster couple involved in duping more than a dozen people of more than one crore rupees by luring women to invest in different ponzy schemes. According to the police, the husband and wife were nabbed after receiving more than a dozen complaints from people who alleged that the two have borrowed money or invested money but later refused any return by resorting to different excuses.
The couple used to live in a rented apartment in Minal residency. Neelesh who works with Telebrands and Surgicals used to introduce him as the owner. His wife Neeta used to befriend with high profile women and would trap them in the name of investment in the agency, property, new business and other ventures and later they would resort to different excuses to escape the return of the money.Neelesh has borrowed money from the victims in the name of treatment of his ill wife, unemployment and mishap with their relatives and with many more fake reasons the accused have taken money from the victims.
Police said that the accused Neelesh Daga and his wife Neeta Daga have been arrested based on their mobile phone locations and the hint provided by their acquaintances and complainants.The matter highlighted after a complaint was lodged by a Thailand based businessman’s wife who came to Bhopal for treatment of her son and was duped by the couple in the name of investing in their firm to become partner.
