Bajaria police have booked a couple for duping a person to the tune of Rs 2 lakh in connection with facilitating job of lab technician in AIIMS Bhopal.
Police said that the victim Shivdas Pandey provided Rs 2 lakh to the accused Santosh Sagar and Gloria Sagar in the name of facilitating job at AIIMS Bhopal for his son Haridayal Pandey that never happened and later the couple refused to repay the money. In his complaint, with the Bajaria police the victim Shivdas Pandey stated that in the year 2016 his neighbours Santosh Sagar and his wife Gloria Sagar assured him that they can facilitate job in AIIMS job for his son on the post of lab Technician but it would require Rs 2 lakh which the victim provided. The victim was never facilitated with the job and accused refused to refund the money after which a complaint was lodged by the victim. The police have registered a case under section 420 and 34 of the IPC and have started further investigation. Meanwhile, Aishbagh police have registered a case of fraud of Rs 25 lakh that had forced a 65-year-old man to commit suicide on April 26 at Old Subhash Nagar; accused was offered to invest in schemes and later accused went missing with investments.
The victim and deceased KN Paul was duped to the tune of Rs 25 lakh which was deposited in the name of investments in different schemes and bank accounts.
He was contacted by different persons and from the year 2016 a person name Nair used to contact him. The deceased deposited the money in parts but later the accused went missing with the money. The deceased who investments his whole earnings and his wife’s money was forced to take extreme step and committed suicide.
Investigating Officer SI Neelesh Awasthi said that the call record of the victim is been searched and the number which were used to call the deceased offering him investments would be investigated.
The police have registered a case under section 406, 420 and 34 of the IPC and started further investigation.
