Corruption thriving under BJP rule in Madhya Pradesh: Jitu

Published on:

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Jitu Patwari, Leader of the Opposition Umang Singhar, and former Union Minister Arun Yadav addressed party workers and the media during the Jai Bapu-Jai Bhim-Jai Samvidhan campaign in Jabalpur. They also spoke at the Kisan Nyay Yatra in Mandla’s Anjania village, urging Congress workers and followers of Dr. Ambedkar to participate in large numbers in the upcoming program in Mhow.

During a press conference in Jabalpur, Patwari criticized the BJP government, stating, "The BJP does not have just one Chief Minister, but six, who challenge each other daily. Ministers are focused on corruption, not governance. From ration schemes to nutrition for children, they have indulged in corruption even at the most basic levels."

Patwari also accused the BJP and RSS of misleading people in the name of Dr. Ambedkar, questioning whether they truly revere him. He challenged BJP leaders Mohan Yadav and VD Sharma on their stance.

Raising the issue of corruption, Patwari questioned why Saurabh Sharma, an accused in a major corruption case, has not been arrested. "The BJP has evidence of illegal wealth accumulated by its ministers and officials. What action has been taken? The government must answer for the declared corruption by ministers," he said. He also criticized the BJP for failing to fulfill promises made to farmers and women in their election manifesto.

Leader of the Opposition Umang Singhar alleged that the BJP government runs on "loot, fear, and arrogance," claiming that BJP leaders are extorting people under the guise of governance. "The Congress will fight for farmers’ rights with full force in the Assembly," he said.

Former Union Minister Arun Yadav reiterated the Congress’s commitment to fighting for justice for farmers. "The BJP has betrayed not just the farmers but the entire state, failing to deliver on promises made to women, youth, and the general public," Yadav added.

The events in Jabalpur and Mandla witnessed a significant turnout of Congress workers and supporters. Party leaders emphasized their resolve to fight against the BJP’s policies and corruption while rallying support for their campaign.
