Corona guideline must be followed strictly in the Panchayat election process. There should be no carelessness in this regard. It must be kept in mind that cases of Corona do not increase due to elections. State Election Commissioner Basant Pratap Singh gave these instructions during a discussion through video conferencing with the Commissioner, Collector and Superintendent of Police regarding the preparations for the Panchayat general election.
State Election Commissioner Singh said that if the District Election Officers have any problem, they can talk to me directly. If permission is required in relation to any work, they should send the proposal soon. He said that the officers and employees posted at the same place for more than 3 years should be transferred. Shri Singh said that the account of the deposit amount received from the candidates should be clear. Ensure adherence to the Model Code of Conduct.
Shri Singh said that executive magistrates and police officers should jointly visit sensitive and very sensitive polling stations. He said that proper security arrangements should be made at every level. Counting of votes for the post of Sarpanch and Panch has to be done at the polling station itself, so adequate security arrangements should be ensured there.

Along with this, the list of reservation and polling stations will also be published. The status of vacancies and reservation of seats must be verified.
