Crime Branch has nabbed two miscreants and recovered goods worth Rs 1.5 lakh from their possession on Sunday.
The miscreants targeted a shop in MP Nagar and escaped with gas cylinders used to fill gas in Air Conditioners (AC).
The victim Rithik Khurana after closing the shop on May 30 left for the home and when he returned next day and opened the shop the iron sheet of roof was found broken and 7 cylinders of Air Conditioners were found burgled.
A complaint was lodged with the MP Nagar police by the victim.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police registered a case under section 461 and 380 of the IPC and started further investigation.
In the initial investigation it was found that the metal roof sheet was not broken but it was opened by removing nut and bolts attached with it and which suggests that acquaintance is involved in the burglary.
During the investigation a Mahindra Pick Up Van was spotted at around 4.15 am when the CCTV footages were investigated and later in the investigation a youth was found selling gas cylinders at TT Nagar area at low price and based on the information the youth was nabbed and when questioned he confessed burglary of seven gas cylinders used for filling gas in Air Conditioners along with Pramod Pandey.
The youth was identified as Mohit Sahu who used to provide AC on rent.
Based on the information Pramod was nabbed who was the mastermind and confessed that he was aware of the shop as he used to work as mechanic of AC at the shop.
