In spite of their hard efforts, the district police failed to find the miscreants who attacked a police constable with sharp-edged weapon during Janmashtami celebrations at Nehru Nagar locality on Monday.

Home Minister Babulal Gaur declared that a compensation of Rs 20,000 would be given to the injured constable.SHO of Kamla Nagar police station Kunwar Singh Mukati said that the search has been intensified and all the possible places of hideouts have been raided but the miscreants were not found. He added that the criminals used to work as labour which has made it difficult to find about their whereabouts. But, others known to the miscreants have been detained and questioned and soon the main accused would be nabbed.

On Monday evening during Janmashtami celebrations at Kaali temple in Aradhana Nagar there was a fight between one Sandeep and the four accused - Umesh Bamnere, Deepak lamba, Dinesh and Golu - in which the four attacked Sandeep.
