Police constable posted with CM security committed suicide by shooting himself at his rented room at Patel Nagar under Mangalwara police station area in the morning on Wednesday; nothing regarding reason was revealed in the investigation by the police.
The deceased identified as Ajay Singh was found in a pool of blood after two police personnel went to check Ajay who failed to report on duty on Wednesday morning. The colleagues and seniors grew suspicious after they tried to call on his mobile number but failed to get any response from Ajay/
DIG Bhopal Irshad Wali visited the spot and said nothing has been recovered from the spot which can help find reason behind the extreme step instructed for investigation into the matter. Singh was alone at home at the time of the suicide as his family members had gone to native place in Vidisha district five days back.
After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 174 of the CrPC and started further investigation. The reason would be investigated and the statements of the family members would be recorded.Ajay was PSO with CM security. He committed suicide using his service revolver which was found from the spot. He shot himself at the temple, which caused immediate death.
Meanwhile, accused errant driver who hit a police personnel returning home after duty near Ekant Park under Habibganj police station area in the night on Tuesday. Police said that the injured police personnel was taken to hospital he was declared dead.CSP TT Nagar Virendra Mishra said SI Sudhir Manjhi died on the spot while the errant driver Ajay was nabbed and sent under judicial custody. He was dragged for few meters after he was entangled in the bonnet of the vehicle.
