Shahpura police have nabbed a building contractor for duping a doctor to the tune of Rs 30 lakh, while contractor’s woman accomplice is still absconding. The victim had provided cash to construct hospital.
The victim Dr Krishna Kateva had provided Rs 23 to the accused Vaibhav Sahay and Shraddha alias Shaily who have assured that the work would be done of better quality but the work was of sub standard quality and never completed.
On Tuesday after the victim’s complaint one of the accused Vaibhav Sahay was nabbed while Shraddha is yet to be detained.
The victim who is a dentist in her complaint stated that she had provided Rs 23 lakh in parts to the accused Vaibhav for construction of her hospital in the month of November last year.
According to the contract good quality material and goods would be used in the construction and interiors but during the construction the accused used sub-standard quality which was of very low rates. During the construction Vaibhay introduced Shaily for interior works and victim provided the work of Rs 8.75 lakh but she also maintained the same quality cheating the victim.
later, when the accused was asked for the refund and to use of good material for the construction of building, he refused after which complaint was lodged with Shahpura police.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 420, 466, 467, 468 and 471 of the IPC and nabbed Vaibhav while Shaily is still absconding. The police have started further investigation.
