Suspecting an illicit relationship, a police constable killed his wife; these revelations were made by the police constable who killed his wife on Saturday.
On Saturday night the accused Durga Prasad Billore returned house in an inebriated state and asked to provide more liquor from his wife Maya Billore which was kept in the house but the wife refused to provide the liquor as Durga was already drunk.The refusal angered Durga and he started abusing the victim which soon turned physical. He started beating her and later strangulated her to death.
After the incident the accused escaped the spot leaving his wife. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead.The accused would be produced in the court on Monday.Parents of the victim have alleged that after her marriage with Durga, he used to harass her for dowry and would often beat her. He was an alcohol addict and can’t do without liquor and after consuming alcohol he used to beat the victim.
The accused was later nabbed by the police and when he was questioned regarding the killing of his wife he confirmed that his wife was having illicit relationship and frustrated over her act he killed her.The police have registered a case under section 302 of the IPC and have started further investigation.The accused is a police constable posted at Bajaria police station. He got married to the victim in the year 2006. The couple had three girls from the marriage.
Victim’s parents, who are residents of Harda, reached the city after receiving the information of death of their daughter. They have alleged that the accused used to harass their daughter demanding dowry and behaved in an inhumane manner after consuming alcohol.Police said that the investigations have been started and reason behind the murder would be investigated. The post mortem report is also awaited.
