State Congress spokesperson Deepti Singh has been fighting for liquor ban in the State. She has been up for the alcohol ban in the State since last three months and her protest is taking fiery shape in front of the State government.
She is getting a lot of support from the female members and with them together at times stage Dharna and at time recite Sundar Kand, but there seems to be no response from the State government.
Still Singh is committed to ban all the liquor shops from the State with the help of the public.
Singh along with her women party workers, other women and citizens reached old Secretariat and submitted a memorandum to the Bhopal Collector to remove certain liquor shops.
She informed him about the liquor shop in Karod which is next to New Madhavi Higher secondary school.
Due to this shop next to the school females get harassed and the future of the children is in danger.
At the same time in MP Nagar zone -2 as well, next to girls’ hostel, office, coaching institutes, beauty parlor and temple there is a newly opened liquor shop and premises due to which filthy activities and females getting harassed is a common scene.
Singh requested the Bhopal Collector to relocate these two liquor shops or else she warned to protest against the administration along with the residents of the locality. While submitting the memorandum along with Singh, Manish Tolani, Kalpana Joshi, Parul Singh, Maya Singh, Ragini Chouhan, Saloni Gaur, Aupama Singh, Nilophar, Hemlata Sharma, Naina Singh, Firoz Siddiqi, Saleem Khan, Vinod Rajodiya, Nitin Rajodiiya and other party workers were present.
