The State Congress will take action against the leaders who indulged in malpractices in the urban body elections. For this, reports have been sought from the candidates and district in-charges. Based on the information received by the organisation from Ujjain, the party has given notices to state secretary Chetan Yadav and former city Congress president Mahesh Soni, asking them to explain their stand within seven days. Similarly, notices have also been given in Mahidpur.
State Congress has received information from Indore, Ratlam and other districts of the party office bearers not working in favour of the mayor candidates. There has been talk of concussion at some places. In view of this, State Congress President Kamal Nath has instructed the organisation officials to call reports from all the districts.
State Vice President in-charge of the organisation Chandraprabhash Shekhar said that disciplinary action will be taken against the office bearers who have caused harm by working against the authorized candidates of the party. For this, reports have been sought from the candidates and district units. Based on this action will be taken.
