The State Congress party has demanded the suspension of Madhya Pradesh Dairy Federation Chief Executive Officer (CEO) RK Durbar and registration of an FIR against him.
MP Congress Committee general secretary Mahindra Singh Chouhan in a statement here on Tuesday said, “A large scale corruption is going on in the Dairy Federation for long involving officials. The tanker owners who have been black-listed have also hinted in this direction. Water is being supplied in the name of milk and CEO Durbar is fully involved in it.”
Chouhan alleged that without the consent of CEO such a large scale scam is not possible. Hence, FIR should be registered besides the suppliers as it is the CEO who is responsible for the scam, he added.
He said that during the tenure of CEO Durbar Dairy Federation has become a den of corruption. While remaining general manager field operations Durbar hand in gloves with the dairy committees purchased milk on higher rates due to that Sangh suffered losses to the tune of over Rs 16 crore. When the scam was exposed and Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry and authorised officer of Madhya Pradesh State Cooperative Dairy Federation limited (MPCDF) constituted a committee for enquiry of the issue. When the enquiry report came the then CEO was suspended but due to officers patronage Durbar was only given show-cause notice and he was rewarded and promoted as the CEO of Sangh, he added.
He said that Durbar is also under suspicion over cheque fraud going on in the Sangh. Statement of the payments done during the day are checked through bank statement on daily basis and in this condition how this fraud was not noticed makes it clear that it could not have been done without involvements of higher ups of Sangh. Impartial investigation could not be done against Durbar while he is on the chair hence he should be suspended and FIR be registered against him, he added.
