Congress ruled country with insensitiveness: BJP

Reacting over the Vedna Sammelan (anguish conference) organised by the opposition Congress the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said had the grand old party been sensitive towards people it would never have needed anguish conference.

BJP Madhya Pradesh chief spokesman Deepak Vijayvarigya in a statement here on Tuesday said, “Congress has ruled the country more or less for five decades since 72 years of independence, had it been sensitive towards the people of the country while remaining in power than neither the people have dethroned it from power nor would it have to take shelter of people for showing its sensitiveness.” Vijayvarigya further said if the people have shouldered the responsibility of opposition to the Congress than it becomes its responsibility to execute the role of positive opposition but after getting out of power Congress party’s exhibition of its pain is an insult of the people. Congress is saving its face from its duty and at the place of showing its pain to the people it should offer sympathies. The way Congress is shedding tears by holding anguish conference it proves that it does not like the role provided to it by the people, he added. He said if Congress had belief in democracy than it would have welcomed the decision of the people. The people by bringing it to the ground gave message to it that the power is no one’s hereditary heritage. It should be the commitment of political parties to accept the role provided by the people to them. But when the people get easy going the Congress becomes disappointed. The Congress is exhibiting its lust for power by organizing conference, he added.
