The State Congress has lauded the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) for arresting the eleven Pakistani terrorists who were leaking important and confidential information of the country to the enemy.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) spokesman Sajid Qureshi in a statement here on Friday said, “The arrest of eleven terrorists from different parts of the state on Thursday by ATS made it clear that the terrorism and terrorists do not have any religion.”
Sajid Qureshi further said that the silence of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and other right wing organizations over the issue also raises several doubts as some of the terrorists arrested by the ATS are related to BJP leaders. The silence of BJP and other organizations who distribute certificates of nationalism and do not leave any chance of defaming one particular community over the issue of terrorism reflects their dual standards over the sensitive issue of national security, he added.
He said that it is matter of serious concern that one of the arrested terrorists is not only close relative of a BJP Corporator in Gwalior Municipal Corporation but is also a close aide of a heavyweight BJP leader and union minister.
Congress party demands high-level enquiry into the whole episode as it is reported that these terrorists were working for long in the state under the patronage of the BJP leaders, he added.
The State Congress spokesman congratulated the ATS for arresting the terrorists as they are serious and real threat to the country. The efforts of the ATS are laudable as it carried out the operation with complete dedication and honesty especially for exposing to the world that the terrorists and terrorism do not have any religion, he added.
