The Opposition Congress and newly-constituted non political social organisation Madhya Pradesh Vichar Manch alleged on Thursday that after the infamous Vyapam scam the BJP Government of the State has once again deceived the youth of the State, this time in the name of smart phone.

MPCC spokesman Ravi Saxena and Vichar Manch member Akshay Hunka leveled the same allegations that the company with zero turnover has been given the order of supplying smart phones.

Saxena in a statement said, “Following Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s announcement to distribute smart phones to college students the scheme has been landed into corruption. The smart phones provided to the students under the scheme by Karvi Data Management Services are not competent enough to run latest apps. By providing such substandard phones the government has on the one hand deceived lakhs of students and on the other hand has done corruption thus once again deceiving the youth of the state.”

Saxena further said that it should be investigated that under what compulsions the company with zero turnover was given priority above renowned brands that also participated in the tendering.

Vichar Manch member Akshay Hunka in a separate statement said, “Falsification is going on in the state in the name of Prime Minister’s dream project Make in India. The MP Government distributed smart phones of old configuration the operating system of that is not able to run new version latest apps making it clear that the scheme was not implemented to benefit the students but it was aimed to benefit some select people.”

Hunka further said that the company that supplied smart phones only assembles phone in its office in Gwalior and does not manufacture them. The question is that under what compulsion the company was chosen for supply of phones that was not able to supply them and sublet the order to another company, he added.
