Several main opposition Congress members in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly on Thursday raised the issue of adulterated wheat being provided to flood victims in the State capital.

However, Speaker of the House Sitasaran Sharma informed that the matter could not be raised as Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra has assured the House to submit the report of the probe in the incident on the last day of the current Session.

Raising the matter during the Zero Hour, Nishank Jain of Congress said action has been taken against several officials in the government. He further demanded action against the Managing Director of the Civil Supplies' Corporation and resignation of its chairperson.

As Jaivardhan Singh of Congress demanded a discussion on the matter, the Speaker advised him to place his demand in accordance to rules. Rajnish Harvansh Singh of Congress tried to raise the issue of supply of poor quality foodgrain in his assembly segment but the Speaker did not grant him the permission.

Meanwhile, Bahujan Samaj Party member Usha Choudhary tried to raise the issue of flood in Satna disrict. She alleged that a Dalit family was crushed to death by a truck during the Chief Minister's recent visit and demanded compensation for the lone surviving member, who is just five-year-old.

Mohan Yadav of ruling BJP raised the issue of non-inclusion of Ujjain in heritage tourism under the New Tourism Policy of the state and sought its inclusion.
