Congress launches Jan Jagaran Yatra

All work that is being done in the State in name of development is only due to the billions of rupees provided by Central Government under various welfare schemes, claimed Congress State President Kantilala Bhuria while inaugurating the Jan Jagaran Yatra here on Tuesday.

The yatra has been launched by the party with the aim of taking the benefits of the 16 flagship welfare schemes to the masses and also to expose the deceptive claims about development of the State by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government.

On the occasion, the party leaders including leader of Opposition Ajay Singh and Deputy Speaker Harvansh Singh, discussed in detail the important role of block, district and state-level monitoring committees to keep track of implementation of the flagship Central schemes. The office-bearers nominated in the committees resolved to not let the BJP take electoral benefit of these welfare schemes.

“The parivartan yatra and jan jagaran yatra would pave the way for Congress victory in the coming elections. The massive public presence in the party programme at Sidhi and Singrauli shows that the public opinion is rapidly changing and the situation is becoming favourable to the Congress,” Bhuria said.

Targeting the CM opposition leader said, “Chief Minister’s face is shining in the government advertisements but at the lower rungs the faces of BJP leaders and workers is painted in corruption.
