State Congress on Sunday hold a massive demonstration against the alleged anti people policies of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government of the State at the Char Batti Square here. Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee secretary Nasir Islam led the demonstration.
Islam while addressing the gathering on the occasion alleged that policies of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan led BJP government are anti people, law and order situation is deteriorating in the state, crime against women are on the rise, rapes and gang rapes on girls and women have become a common thing and rampart corruption is going on in the central government funded schemes.
Islam said, "The 'Ghoshnaveer chief minister and his ministers observing their certain defeat in the year end assembly elections are looting the government treasury.
The hard earned money of the people is siphoned openly by the BJP leaders and workers." Islam further said that the condition of law and order is so worst in the state that even the women in state capital are not safe.
The BJP government is labeling central schemes in its name in order to misguide the people of the state. He said that during the past four and half year the local legislator of the BJP never came to know the plight of the locals, this is the real face of the BJP and its elected representatives. Corruption in center funded schemes is become so common under the BJP rule, he added.
The demonstration was attended by many Corporators of the state capital besides office bearers of the state and district Congress committee. Congress workers were carrying placards and were shouting anti BJP and anti Chouhan slogans.
