Claiming that there was a wave against Congress in the country, Union Minister Uma Bharti said that the Congress has failed to play an effective role of Opposition.
While addressing a public meeting in Khajuraho, Bharti claimed the Congress never put up a fight for public and never learnt to agitate on the roads. She dared Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi to take to streets and fight the BJP. Later, during a rally at Ghuwara, Bharti claimed the state has lost the sheen once the BJP was removed from the government. Ex-CM Shivraj had acted efficiently to change the face of Bundelkhand region, Bharti a political rival of the Chouhan claimed.
Once the Prime Minister Narendra Modi would return to power, the developmental works of Bundelkhand would move forward, she opined.
Corruption and inflation for the first time in India are no poll issues, as Modi Government managed to rein the both, said the Jhansi MP. The Opposition is left with the only agenda to remove Modi, said Bharti who has announced a political sabbatical in the past.
With the growing
acceptability of Modi, the opposition parties are apprehensive as they are well aware if Modi retains power for 15 years, Congress, the left and others would either sit at home or would roam on streets. The Union Minister claimed that once Modi remains PM for 15 years, India would be a superpower and the world would acknowledge India’s credence.
