Congress crosses all limits of decency: BJP

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged that fearing certain defeat in the election for the sixteenth lok Sabha, the Congress party has crossed all limits of decency that is not a good sign for Indian democracy.

Senior BJP leader and former Union minister Prahlad Patel, in a statement here on Wednesday, said, “After the eighth round of polling in the country for the election of the sixteenth lok Sabha and much before the counting of ballots for the same Congress leaders’ concerns has become visible on their faces. The pragmatism of the Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has been crushed by the electorate, this being the reason that Gandhi and his associates who were equating BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s campaign with balloon are now vainly showcasing that the Congress provided six rights to the people of the country, but the Congress failed to publicize its achievements.”

Patel further said that the Congress leaders are now searching for excuses for defeat and due to the depression caused by defeat perception they have crossed all limits of decency that is not a good sign for the Indian democracy.  The seeds of enmity sown by Sonia and Rahul Gandhi would only be healed by passing time, he added.

He said that during the election the people of India forced the Congress to remain defensive as it failed to provide any solution to the problems of the people in its ten years of rule. The middle class of the country is also disappointed due to the falling growth rate, devaluation of currency and lowering of buying capacity besides increasing unemployment, he added. The former Union minister said that the real concern of the Congress is not its shameful defeat but a Narendra Modi-led NDA government coming at the Centre.
