The Opposition Congress party in Madhya Pradesh has alleged that having failed to deliver better results in his leadership, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is out to hold Government officials responsible for every wrongdoings.
Former leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh in a statement here on Tuesday said, “After losing credence of the people, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is now out to make officers responsible for his failures and is publicly threatening them.”
Singh was reacting over Chief Minister’s statement in Satna during a public meeting on Monday where Chouhan said, ‘Satna se danda lekar nikla hu, sabko thik kar dunga nokri layak nahi chhodunga’ (I have started from Satna with cane in hand, would do everyone right and would not let worthy of doing job).
Singh said that having failed to befool the people the Chief Minister is now threatening the officers adopting this cheap language that is nothing more than a desire to get cheap publicity. “The Chief Minister was claiming of good governance but with the continuous defeats suddenly he started looking at the sorrows and pains of the people. The interesting thing is that the CM sees problems of only that place where elections are going to take place,” Singh added.
He also alleged that during the past ten years Chief Minister has only done the work of celebrations, taking out Yatras petting his own back. He never looked at the problems of the people, he added.
The Senior Congress legislator alleged that today the whole State is drowned neck-deep in corruption. Wherever anti-corruption agencies raid, be it a small employee or high official of the State Government property to the tune of crores comes out, this shows how deep are the roots of the corruption in the State, he added.
He said that the people of the State have realised his false slogans and have started giving the CM a befitting reply.
