Criticising the Centre, he said the new government is giving the same reasons, which when given by the previous United Progressive Alliance (UPA) regime for rising prices and were rubbished by the BJP.
Shukla said, "I want the people to know that a political party can get away by speaking in a different voice while in Opposition and completely turn the tables when they are in government."
On Saturday, the Congress had sought action from the BJP-led NDA government of centre in fulfilling its poll promises, reminding the government about its responsibilities, and asked it to stop Congress bashing.
Talking about the rapid pace of change since the NDA government took over, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the BJP National Council meet had said that he was surprised that those who did nothing for the past 60 years are asking for his government's report after being in power for just 60 days.
But he reiterated that after the experience of 60 days, he was confident that his government was headed in the right direction.
