Cong wants CM's report card

The State Congress has alleged that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan conspired  to push through the report cards of all his Ministers and wished to know when would Chouhan present his own report card.

Chief spokesman of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) KK Mishra in a statement here on Friday termed the presentation of report cards by the Ministers of Chouhan Cabinet since last fortnight as political drama to degrade one another. He said, “The Chief Minister has tried to prove his Ministers tom thumb by compelling them to present report cards of their departments. Bureaucrats have played important role in this conspiracy of Chief Minister so that they could become Chief Minister’s blue eyed boys.”Mishra in his statement that came after the process of presenting report cards by the State Ministers came to an end said that this fortnight would be remembered for cornering ministers to forcefully present their report cards by their own Chief Minister.

He said that as per the agenda the Ministers were supposed to present their one year achievement as per party’s Jan Sankalp document. But by not abiding to the agenda they included achievements of eleven years of BJP Government of the State and Congress-led UPA Government of Centre’s achievements making the whole process confusing. Some of the Ministers appeared to be totally illiterate and incapable because they were not even able to read out the achievements list provided to them by the officials. Bureaucrats also let them get insulted as they were trying to get place in Chief Ministers’ favourite list of bureaucrats, he added.

The senior Congress leader said that the most amazing answer came from the Minister of State of General Administration Department (GAD) who while replying a query of media persons over corrupt IAS officers amazed everyone by saying that “I don’t looks after this issue.”He said the political drama had now come to an end and now would the Chief Minister show courage to oust those Ministers who have appeared as good for nothing.
