The Congress party would start effigy-burning drive against privatisation of electricity from Monday. The Government is ignoring the protest of various political parties, traders associations and social workers.
The district Congress committee has called for Sahar bandh agitation from September14. The people are becoming more and angry over privatisation of electricity and declaration by the ASSEl Company to take over charge from September 15. The resident of Gol Pahariya has already opened a front against the private company ASSEl. The Congress has started preparation to launch a phased agitation against privatization of electricity from Monday.
The traders associations and social workers have submitted a memorandum to the district administration, state government and union minister mining and still Narendra Singh Tomar to withdraw privatization of electricity. The district Congress committee would start burning effigy and demonstrate at power sub stations this would continue up to September 10, than from September 11 to 13 September effigies of of ASSEl Company and state government would be burnt. From September 14, City bandh would be resorted. The Congress would hand over the responsibility to Mahila Congress, Seva Dal, Youth Congress and NSUI to take out candle procession, cycle rally and corner meetings.
