Congress leader Digvijay Singh on Saturday said that he would continue to demand a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam.

While talking to media persons here, Singh said that the High Court was hearing a petition filed by him in this regard. He said he would continue to fight in the court over the demand.Alleging that the Special Task Force (STF) which is probing into the scam is not reaching the real culprits, he said a few people and students were being arrested. He demanded that the students be made government witness and strict action be taken against the guilty.

Replying to a query over protests being organised at ground level, Singh said the State Congress unit was doing its job. He could explain only about himself and he would continue his fight in the court.About the forthcoming Global Investors Summit in Indore, he said that Government agencies were publicising the event too much while the reality was quite different.

Talking about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s US visit, Singh expressed hope that he would put forth with full vigour issues related to India in the United Nations and cautioned against politicising his much publicised visit to the US.“This is not the time to do politics on the issue of Modi’s US trip as he has gone there to address the United Nations General Assembly as India’s representative,” he added.
