The main Opposition Congress on Friday staged a walkout in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly demanding a CBI probe into the State's Professional Examination Board scam and certain charges leveled by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan concerning appointments made during the previous Congress regime.

Soon after the Zero Hour began, Congress member Sunderlal Tiwari raised the issue of certain charges made by Chouhan during his reply on an adjournment motion over the MPPEB scam.

However, Speaker Sitasharan Sharma directed that nothing would be recorded in the proceedings as the member was speaking sans permission.

leader of the Opposition Satyadev Katare reiterated the demand for a CBI probe into the charges levelled by the Opposition in connection with the MPPEB scam as well as the allegations made by the Chief Minister against the previous Congress regime during his reply.

When the Speaker did not allow the issue to be taken up during the Zero Hour, Congress members, led by Katare, staged a walkout.
