Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government of suppressing the case of death of Ratlam Mining Inspector Sanjeev Bhargav, District Congress Committee staged dharna in Ujjain on Wednesday. Parliamentarian Premchand Guddu said during the dharna that the deceased inspector had lodged a complaint at the local police station about threat to his life, but instead of providing security he was detained in the police station.
“Bhargav had complained that his life was under threat from a builder’s company, which is being shielded by the government,” he said. Congress legislator Kalpana Parulekar was also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Ujjain Addl SP Mahaveer Mujalde raised doubt over delay in post-mortem of Sanjeev Bhargav. Irked by this, Civil Surgeon Dr MK Dwivedi submitted his resignation to Ujjain Collector and doctors and nurses of the district hospital also stopped working on Wednesday.
