The Congress party has once again questioned the working of the Special Task Force (STF) in the infamous Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam. MP Congress Committee chief spokesman KK Mishra in a statement here on Monday alleged that the unaware officials produced chalan of the minor accused in the MPPMT 2012 forgery in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) at the place of juvenile court. This is gross violation of the Juvenile Justice Act 2000, he added.
Mishra making scathing attack over the illegal action of the STF, said, “This is enough to suggest that what the way of STF’s investigation isIJ”
Clarifying his stand, the senior Congress leader said that as per the Juvenile Justice Act, 2000 it is very clear that if the accused is minor at the time of committing crime then the chalan against him or her would not only be presented in the juvenile court, but their names and photographs would also not be made public.
There is a provision of Rs25,000 against those violating this rule. Despite this, the STF arrested not only many of the accused in the MPPMT 2012 forgery case and presented their chalan in the CJM court, but also made their names and photographs public, he added.
He said that date of birth mentioned at the time of arrest of these minor accused also makes it clear that they are minor. Many of these minors were sent to jail by the CJM court after the challans were produced in this court, he added.
He said that these conditions make it clear that what the attitude of STF’s investigations isIJ Not only this, the MP High Court that is monitoring the investigations of the STF has also not noticed this thing, he added.
