Inspired by the huge success of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yatras, the Congress party has decided to follow footprints of its arch political rival in Madhya Pradesh, they are soon to start at least two State wide Yatras by the farmers cell and minority cell which is suggested by this grand old party.
The only difference between the BJP and the Congress Yatras is that the BJP Yatras are headed by the popular face of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while the Congress Yatras would be headed by the State presidents of its cell that are embarking on the Yatras as the grand old party, which has failed to have any face in Madhya Pradesh that could give competition to Chouhan.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) – Minority Department chairman and All India Congress Committee (AICC) Member Mohammed Saleem would embark on the Statewide ‘Alpsankhyak Jan Jagran Abhiyan’ (Minority awareness campaign) from February 15 while the farmers’ cell (Kisan Khet Mazdoor Congress) would launch its Statewide ‘Madhya Pradesh Bachao Yatra’ headed by its State president from February 18.
Mohammed Saleem while talking to The Pioneer over his proposed Yatra said, “We are not copying anyone, the Congress has age old history of awakening people through Yatras since the freedom
struggle and thereafter. My ‘Alpsankhyak Jan Jagran Abhiyan’ Yatra which would commence soon after the State level minority convention of the party on February 15 would pass through all the fifty districts of the State to aware the masses especially the minorities with the lies and false claims of the BJP Government of the State and its Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.”
Saleem further said that during the Yatra not only the misdeeds of the BJP would be exposed among the masses but we would also appraise the people with the good works done by the Congress led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) of the centre in the interest of all sections of the society especially in the interest of the minorities.
Meanwhile, hectic preparations are on for both the Yatras of the grand old party and close on the heels of its arch political rival saffron party divisional and district in-charges have been announced, room and corner meetings are taking place for making the Yatras a success.
But unlike the BJP the senior political leaders and Satraps of the Congress are not showing any interest towards these Yatras and this is the point where the success of these Yatras is doubted.
