Cong notice to CM, BJP chief

State Congress on Thursday sent defamation notice to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan over their remark during an election meeting.

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee chief spokesman KK Mishra objecting over Chief Minister Chouhan’s statement during an election meeting that ‘Congress ka hath antakion ke sath’ (Congress; hand with terrorists) and prominently flashing that on the official page of BJP on facebook@BJP4MP sent notice demanded apology from the Chief Minister and BJP State president within fifteen days adding that if the apology is not tendered than the grand old party would lodge defamation case in the court.

Mishra in a statement here on Thursday said that the Chief Minister has said baseless and insulting things in his election meeting and the BJP is prominently flashing that on its official page on social networking site, this amounts to serious defamation of 130 years old Congress party. Notices have been sent Chief Minister and BJP State president asking them to apologize or prove their insulting statement within fifteen days failing that we would knock the court doors.

Mishra further said that the Congress party has over 100 years of glorious history with it as it was founded to get freedom to the country from the then British empire and its lakhs of workers not only took part in the freedom struggle but also sacrificed their lives for the country.

It is unfortunate that the chief minister for winning a by-election is defaming such party that is not only insult of the grand old party but also the insult of the freedom movement and the country, he added.
