'Cong not sensitive towards nationalist sacraments'

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organisational secretary Arvind Menon said Congress was not sensitive towards expression of nationalist sacraments and added that after May 26, the world has felt the emergence of new cultural nationalism after the political changes in India.

In a statement, Menon said, “Congress spokesman Shashi Tharoor inspired by the nationalist sacraments supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s creative programme proving him nationalism. Assam’s CM Tarun Gogoi also lauded the initiative of PM for rural development. Congress party’s intellectual advocate and spokesman Manish Tiwari, Mani Shankar Aiyar and P Chidambaram have also expressed their consent over PM’s creative initiative for national development.”

Menon further said in these circumstances targeting Tharoor by the Congress high command made it clear that the Congress was not sensitive over expression of nationalist sacraments. This intolerance of Congress was out of its mental weakness and restlessness due to the defeat in the elections, he added.

He said at the place of trying to gather courage for coming out of defeat nervousness is moving on the path of self destruction. Actually the Congress is not able to digest the sharp expansion of the nationalism.

The senior BJP leader said the breeding ground of nationalism Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) was extending throughout the country.  The Shakhas of the Sangh have registered twenty five per cent rise in them. Every year over 75, 000 youths are joining it, he claimed.
