For the second time, Congress MlA Hemant Katare remained fortunate after Madhya Pradesh High Court provided relief to him in a rape and kidnapping case by staying arrest till the next hearing scheduled on March 16.

The court ordered all investigating officials to remain present along with all case dairies in the case during the hearing on Tuesday.

After hearing, Katare was provided relief by the court and prank video was screened. During the hearing, the victim girl and her mother were present in the court.

Court has questioned as to why cases were not registered against those whose names had emerged in the investigation and have been found to be involved in the case directly and indirectly and tried to change the course of action in the case and influence the victim.

The victim girl has demanded justice by tweeting PM Narendra Modi and Congress President Rahul Gandhi.

Notably, after failing to get any relief, Katare had filed a plea in the Madhya Pradesh High Court after the victim girl had lodged a complaint regarding rape and kidnapping.

Earlier Katare had lodged a complaint, regarding blackmailing, against the victim girl in which the girl was arrested and served jail.

After her release, the victim girl had raised allegations against Crime Branch Addl SP Rashmi Mishra for shielding Katare.

On the other hand, Addl SP Mishra refuted the allegations by claiming that they are baseless and said that she had done nothing by going out of law.
