Call it a chain-reaction. Months after Madhya Pradesh’s then Finance Minister Raghavji’s obscene CD had surfaced, another State legislator has been caught on camera in compromising position. This time, the CD allegedly featured Congress MlA Satyanarayan Patel of Depalpur and surfaced on Wednesday.

As sex scandals of politicians are fast becoming a matter of public debate, the controversial CD featuring Satyanarayan Patel went viral in the State ahead of impending Assembly elections.

Reportedly, the controversial clip went viral after it was shared by a member of the opposition party, say reports.Patel, who was elected for the first time from Indore-5 constituency in 1998, however, has brushed all allegations and said this was an attempt to malign him. “The opposition wants to get an edge against Congress ahead of polls. I will come out clean,” he said.

Addressing a Press conference at his residence here on Wednesday, the Congress MlA said, “The clipping is doctored. I will comment further only after I gain access to it. Forensic experts are assessing the video clip,” added Patel. Sources said a copy of the video has been forwarded to the Congress headquarters in Delhi and the party will decide whether to allot a ticket to Patel in the upcoming elections or not.

Meanwhile, Vishal Patel, who is considered as political opponent of Satyanarayan Patel, while talking to media persons, denied his involvement in the CD and stated that Satyanarayan was levelling baseless allegations on him because he was strong claimant from Depalpur constituency. He clarified that he was not at all related with the alleged CD.

Assembly elections for Madhya Pradesh are scheduled on November 25 and both the major political parties — BJP and Congress are at present busy in preparing list of candidates.
