Making scathing attack over Congress, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday alleged that the Congress is neck deep in corruption has made the Prime Minister a prisoner of cage.

Chouhan expressed these views on Sunday while addressing election meetings in Guna parliamentary constituency. Chouhan said, “The Congress has ruined the prestige and honour of the country. It turned a noted economist as villain in the eyes of people of country and the world. Change the Congress led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government of the centre. The country is passing through a wave of change and wants to get rid of the Congress.”

Chouhan further said that the Congress president controlled Prime Minister Manmohan Singh through remote control for the past 10 years. The Gandhi family made the Prime Minister a prisoner of cage, he added.

He said that during the Congress regime at the centre, dearness continued to rise and everyday scams used to come to the fore. The prices of manure and fertilizers increased by over two and half folds, while the shooting diesel and petrol prices has made life of the common man miserable. Now, they would have to respond over it to the farming community of the country, he added.

Chouhan said the Bharatiya Janata Party Government of the State made all possible efforts to make agriculture a profit making business. Made provisions of providing wheat and rice at one rupee per kilogram for the poor, while the UPA Government continued doing dishonesty in the assistance meant for the State. The Central Government that stops facilities and benefits of the people of Madhya Pradesh is not needed in New Delhi, he added.

He said the Atal Bihari Vajpayee led NDA Government at the centre furthered prestige and honour of the country by doing Pokhran nuclear tests, but the UPA Government has ruined it all.
