Cong lS poll master plan to challenge BJP in its bastion

Published on:
While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems to be confident with its performance in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, the Congress has decided to come up with a new game plan to challenge BJP in its bastion States.
If the performance of the two major  political parties in the recently concluded Assembly polls is assessed then it seems that the BJP may do well in its bastions like MP and Chhattisgarh.
Riding on its stunning performance in the gone elections, BJP is relieved about its performance in these three States.  BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and his team believe that it will be easy for them to get 26-27 seats in MP, and 9-10  in Chhattisgarh.
Even the Congress is aware of the fact that these States have become stronghold of BJP. Therefore they are planning to target these States to cut down as many votes as they can.
According to the current statistic, BJP has got 16 seats in MP in comparison to 12 of the  Congress. likewise, BJP is also dominating in Chhattisgarh with 10 seats as compared to Congress’ 1 seat.
If the sources are believed, the strategy of the Congress is to take advantage of BJP’s relieved stance and field formidable candidates who can’t be defeated. The Congress is determined to give chances to those candidates who can win the election without much support. It will also begin to campaign soon in the States to woo the voters towards the newly fielded leaders. The party believes that they have got nothing to lose in these States and 10-12 seats in their favour can make a huge difference as the BJP will get into trouble.
If the situation in MP is monitored, Congress is sure of winning two seats at least and 6 other seats are also promising. Apart from these 6 seats, the party will try to field strongest candidates from at least two constituencies. If the plan succeeds, it will be able to challenge BJP on 10 seats. Congress’s place in strong in Chhattisgarh from four constituencies,
which is enough to startle the mathematics of seats for BJP.
