The Jan Akrosh Rally of the Congress was held in Morena on Sunday. The unity of the State Congress leaders was once again seen at the rally as all State satraps attended the rally.
AICC general secretary in- charge of state Mohan Prakash, Union Minister Kamal Nath, AICC general secretary and former Chief Minister of State Digvijay Singh, MPCC president Kantilal Bhuria, MP Satyavrat Chaturvedi, MoS for Energy Jyotiraditya Scindia, leader of Opposition Ajay Singh and MP Arun Yadav addressed the rally.
Digvijay Singh called upon party workers to ensure the defeat of the ruling BJP in the State Assembly elections due this November. “Party workers must forget factionalism and work for the party candidate, as only one person can get a ticket from any constituency,” Singh told party workers at a function held here.
“Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh trains the BJP to go on lying and repeat the lies loudly, and in this respect Madhya Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is “an ideal student,” he alleged. Congress general secretary Mohan Prakash, who is in-charge of Madhya Pradesh, said the Chief Minister had not given permission to prosecute ministers against whom lokayukta cases were pending.
Addressing the huge gathering, Scindia alleged that rampart corruption prevailed in the State; law and order had collapsed and the conditions were such that from State capital to far-flung areas, no one was safe. Scindia further said the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government at the Centre had given maximum funds to Madhya Pradesh Government during the past 10 years but this Government in place of using the funds, was misusing them.
Union Minister Kamalnath also claimed that the UPA government had provided maximum funds to the Madhya Pradesh government and now the time had come to ask the BJP that how and where these were utilised. Kamalnath said that the time had come for the people to take account of the funds sent by Central Government to Shivraj Singh Chouhan led BJP government of the state.
Kamalnath further said that the corruption was so much that no industrialist wanted to establish their industries in the State, if we asked anyone to come to our State for establishing industries they straight way refused and told that they would prefer Maharashtra or any other State but would not go to Madhya Pradesh. The rally held at the Ambedkar stadium of Morena witnessed huge turnout.
