In the last leg of Congress’ jan-jagaran yatra on Wednesday, former TTTI Chairman and Congress leader Mahendra Singh Chouhan targeted Bharatiya Janata Party legislator Vishwas Sarang.
Addressing a rally at Chhola Hanuman Mandir Chouhan said, “Vishwas Sarang should let everyone know if he has been insured as tendupatta workerIJ If yes, then by which company and for how much amountIJ Who is paying the premium for this insuranceIJ Sarang should also explain people the urgency that forced him to get the insuranceIJ”
Not in a mood to spare Sarang, the Congress leader said, “Sarang should also disclose the amount of wages he and his family members have received so far after he became the Chairman of Minor Forest Products Federation.
The newspapers inform that the federation is going to pay Rs 240n crore as bonus to tendupatta collectors. Every collector would get nearly Rs 5000-6000 by this. Sarang should inform how much bonus he would get from thisIJ”
In the Janata ke jail, which is also being taken along with the yatra, on Wednesday the Higher Education, Culture and Public Relations Minister laxmikant Sharma was behind the bars.
Pamphlets carrying allegations of his involvement in huge scams in the culture ministry and his association with tainted businessman Sudhir Sharma were also distributed during the yatra.
On the occasion of conclusion of the yatra on Thursday Mahendra Singh Chouhan Fan’s Club will organise a sufi qauwwali programme at the Dushehra ground in Karond. Special teams from Saharanpur and Bareli in Uttar Pradesh have been invited to present cultural performances.
Senior Congress leaders including state Congress President Kantilal Bhuria, Media Department Chairman Manak Agrawal and other leaders are likely to attend the programme.
