Cong incited farmers' agitation in Mandsaur: Narendra Tomar

Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said the Congress party was responsible for the violence in Mandsaur’s farmers’ agitation. He was addressing the State executive meeting of the BJP here on Saturday.

He said factually, it was not the agitation of farmers, but of the Congress. Only a handful of Congressmen made all out efforts to trigger violence, he claimed. Bharatiya Janata Party workers are emerging as the solution to societal questions, BJP vice-president and Madhya Pradesh in-charge Vinay Sahasrabuddhe claimed; but in the same breath cautioned the rank and file to not create a situation where question marks get placed on their actions.

Congratulating newly elected President Ramnath Kovind, he said his elections in Antyodaya in real meaning. Without naming anybody, he stated the party workers should become answers in the society instead of becoming question themselves. He informed that the party would organise programmes on 75thanniversary of Quit India Movement and 70th anniversary of the Independence.

State BJP president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan talking about the farmers’ agitation, said Congress played an important role in the violence triggered in farmers’ agitation. He expressed gratitude towards Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for announcements in favour of farmers, after the agitation.

Congratulating Kovind for his election, Chouhan said for the first time, the candidate of the NDA was elected as president. State organisational general secretary Suhas Bhagat, Union Ministers Thavarchand Gehlot and Faggan Singh Kulaste, MP Prabhat Jha and other leaders remained present on the occasion.
