Opposing the hollow promises through numerous announcements made by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the rampant corruption in the development schemes and work by the MlA from Bhopal central assembly constituency a foot march headed by Madhya Pradesh Congress Secretary Nasir Islam was held at Mangalwara square here on Sunday.
Starting from Mangalwara the rally after crossing Chawvni reached Bharat talkies square. Hundreds of Congress party workers participated in the rally and were confident that the announcements made by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan , anti-people policies and worsening law and order situation of the state would awaken the people to dethrone the current BJP government giving reins to the Congress party for better governance and development.
Islam alleged that the BJP legislator from Bhopal Central in the name of development has harmed the historical heritage Central library Ground. The stone screens which were developed during the period of Muslim rulers and which were government property have been used at the MlA’s farm house and this matter should be investigated.
For the past four and half year the MlA remained absent from the constituency and maintained distance with the people but as the elections are nearing stone laying ceremonies have been increased by the MlA to show seriousness towards development works of the area. In the field of sports the MlA has also tried to dominate sports bodies of the city to gain political mileage by occupying important positions in these bodies.
