Cong hits out at CM for shanties eviction

Published on:

State Congress has alleged that the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led Bharatiya Janata Party Government in Madhya Pradesh is continuously betraying the 7.5 crore people of the State.

leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh in a statement here on Saturday said, “A drive to remove shanties from the State capital was launched on Saturday, the shameful aspect of this drive is that just a few days back the Chief Minister has announced that no slum dweller would be removed and whoever residing at a place would become his property.”

Singh asked the CM to stop playing with the sentiments of the poor people of the State, it is shameful to observe that the announcements of the CM are not even kept in the State capital and with these it could be easily judged that what treatment they would be getting in other backward areas of the state. Any announcements by CM are the guidelines for the administration as well as for the Government but Chouhan is such an inefficient Chief Minister that neither the administration nor the government is taking him seriously, he added.

In another statement, Singh has condemned the barbaric attitude of punks with the Jain Sadhvi and questioned the CM on the safety of girls in the Sate under his regime. Whatsoever section of the society has been kept in the priority list of the chief minister is forced to undergo such plight.

The plight of the farmers in the rule of Chouhan who claims to be a son of farmer is known to all in the country, several thousand peasants have committed suicide in his rule, while a whole mafia in the name of farmers has become active in the State, he added.
