Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan has said that Congress party has no right to comment on the poverty eradication agenda being charted out by his party.
He stated that the freedom fighters had dreamt about a country free from grief, illiteracy, poverty and diseases. The country got the freedom and the Congress party ruled the country for five decades but the Congress came out with a slogan ‘Gareebi Hatao’ (eradicate poverty). However, the Congress party never worked on this. Congress knew that its vote bank was vested in poverty and backwardness so the party never implemented this programme.
Chouhan further stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed his concern towards poverty eradication and executed 80 schemes for the poor people, farmers, labourers, youths and for women empowerment. Modi has established a committee to execute ‘antyoday darshan’. This initiative would be a true tribute to the Pt Deendayal Upadhyay on his birth centenary year.
The issues related to the structure of the ‘poverty eradication agenda programme were discussed in the first meeting of the committee held at Bhopal. In this meeting the outline of social, financial, academic and cultural upgradation was also formed. Various schemes of public interest were reviewed in this meeting and plans were made for the implementation of these schemes of poverty eradication in the States.
The agenda would be executed after it is accepted by Prime Minister and the BJP president on September 25, he added.
Chouhan further said that the arrangements of food, clothes, house, education and employment for every family would be at the centre of the agenda. National vice president and MP Organisation In-charge Vinay Shastrabudhe is providing guidance to this agenda.
Chouhan optimistically added that the poverty eradication programme would be successful. He showed his gratitude towards the Prime Minister.
