The main opposition Congress in Madhya Pradesh described the state budget 2017-18 tabled in the assembly on Wednesday as disappointing, misleading and directionless.
leader of opposition in the state assembly Ajay Singh in his reaction over the budget said that we were not hoping much from the anti people government in the budget. “The budget has made it clear that the BJP government of the state is anti people as it has once again presented an anti people budget. The budget has disappointed all sections of the society including rural and urban people.”
Singh further said that everyone is disappointed by the budget tabled in the house today by the finance minister. Farmers, students, youth, women, unemployed, health, education road and all other sectors have been disappointed by the budget, he added.
All India Congress Committee general secretary, former chief minister of state and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijay Singh termed the budget presented by state finance minister Jayant Mallaiya in the assembly is misleading and insensiti8ve towards the farmers. “It is due to financial mismanagement of the state government and rampart corruption the government is under debt of `1.25 lakh crore. There is no provision of creating new jobs in the budget, farmers have been ignored and no attempt has been made to provide relief to the people hit by demonetization” he added.
Congress MlA from Raghogarh Jaivardhan Singh termed the budget as misleading. There are no provisions of providing relief to farmers and those hit by demonetization in the budget tabled by finance minister Mallaiya. “The finance minister has tried to confuse the students in the budget. Provision of depositing fees by government for the students who secures 85 per cent and takes admission in the national level professional institutes have been made, but the benefit of this being given only to those students who would clear their exams from board of secondary education, that is wrong. Most of the poor and brilliant students of the state study in CBSE schools and they would not get benefitted with this scheme,” he added.
