Alleging large-scale corruption scheme pertaining to free distribution of books, stationary and fees to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students, the Madhya Pradesh Congress questioned the silence of State Government   over it.

Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee chief spokesman KK Mishra in a statement here on Tuesday said, “The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government of the State led by Shivraj Singh Chouhan that is very desperate to hold Samarsata Snan (Harmony Bath) for the SC and STs in the ongoing Simhastha Mahakumbh fair is silent over large scale irregularities in the schemes meant for SC and ST students in the state.”

Mishra further said that financial irregularities, scam and fraud to the tune of crores of rupees has been done in the free books, stationary and fee to be paid to the SC and ST students in the state.

The Shivraj Singh Chouhan government of the state that is organizing Harmony Bath for the SC and ST communities defying all constitutional and social norms just to fulfill its political aspirations is patronizing the corruption in schemes meant for the students of the SC and ST communities, he added.

He said that Congress is in possession on all the documents that makes it clear that all the schemes meant for SC and ST are devoted to these communities on papers only, these schemes have nothing to do with the reality.  Whereas, the fact is that right from minister to babus involved in the schemes are engaged in large scale irregularities in the budget allocated for these schemes and all this going on under the patronage of Chief Minister, he added. He alleged despite making complaints the agencies responsible for controlling corruption are silent.
